Age: 16 years
Grade: 10
School: Immanuel Shifidi Secondary School.

My name is Noah Hilengwa and I am in grade 10A at Immanuel Shifidi Secondary School. I was born in Windhoek on the 14th December 2002. My mother tongue is oshiwambo. My hobbies are playing basketball, reading and listening to music. All these above mentioned activities keep me relaxed and it brings refreshment to my mind, it also helps me to focus on other things. Apart from enjoying leisure activities, I like studying, setting goals of what I would like to achieve at school.

In addition to this I also have qualities such as I am reliable, generous, having respect for the elder and be committed to my studies. The reason why I have this I because of an after school program called the Basketball Artists School (BAS), they really help me a lot. They teach us to be better people in the society, being a leader and teach us values such as being disciplined, being responsible, reliable and so on.

At the Basketball Artists School they also assist us in academics in terms of homework, projects and also give us worksheets to do. Apart from academics we also play basketball there from Monday to Friday but education is our first priority at BAS.

After finishing school I would like to become a chartered accountant (CA) because that is my dream career and I really want to pursue it, so I will really work hard to get this job. The benefit of this job is that it pays good money per month. When I get a job and earn enough money, I will give something back to BAS for the opportunity they have given me to go for my dreams. They are the one’s that have opened doors for me and I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.
